The Locally Made Awards

It’s time for the Netherlands to truly establish itself as a leading maker nation — sustainable, innovative and of the highest quality. With the Locally Made Awards, we give the local manufacturing industry a major annual stage.

The very best products made on Dutch soil get the recognition they deserve. Which product is the most innovative, creative or sustainable and deserves an award? Will it be a circular garment, a design object made from recycled materials, or perhaps a care product with a truly unique ingredient?

Makers from across the country can submit their product for the Locally Made Awards, as long as they produce it as sustainably as possible within our national borders. The main criteria on which submissions are judged are sustainability, design, creativity and craftsmanship.

Awards can be won in five categories:

1. Food & Drinks – The tastiest product in the Netherlands. From craft beer to fermentation heroes and circular snacks.

2. Design – The most creative product in the Netherlands. Smart solutions, surprising objects and designs with a story.

3. Fashion & Jewellery – The most stylish product in the Netherlands. Eye-catching clothing, accessories and jewellery, responsibly produced.

4. Home & Interior – The most beautiful product for the home: furniture, lighting, textiles and home accessories made locally.

5. Innovation & Impact – The product that best showcases the future: circular, bio-based, socially inclusive or groundbreaking in innovation.

From all submissions, a professional jury — consisting of well-known experts in design, food, fashion and sustainability — selects the nominations. These move on to the public round, in which the entire country can vote for their favourite product. The winners will be announced during a festive award show open to makers, brands, media and partners.

The Locally Made Awards will become an annual event that brings together makers, brands and the public: a stage for pride, quality and innovation. Submissions will open in 2026. Sign up for our newsletter and get updates!
