Founder

VINOOS is a unique gift label, inspired by the wine bottle. They make special products such as edible wine in the form of real wine gums and jewelry made from wine bottles.

About the Maker
Mireille Reuling had a brilliant idea during her second study at the Art Academy in Amsterdam. It emerged from her daily wine ritual. “How great would it be if we could make wine edible? That we convert that relaxed and cozy feeling of that first sip into a real, edible wine tasting? I wanted to evoke that experience of that first sip, but without actually drinking.” This is how The Real WINE gum was born – this wine gum tastes like wine, but contains no alcohol. This became the start of VINOOS and the many tasty products that followed in the timeline.

The Production Process & Sustainability
All VINOOS products, except WINE Soaps, are made by hand in the Netherlands. The company reduces its impact on the environment through shorter production chains; priority is given to sourcing materials from local suppliers.

The Real WINE gum is completely vegan and gluten-free. For this we collaborated with a chef with a Michelin star and exclusive aroma designers. Origintating from VINOOS, Mireille came up with the upcycling concept VINOOS Wine Jewelery – Message from a bottle. For this purpose, old, empty wine bottles are melted down into beautiful beads in collaboration with Dutch glass workshops and further processed manually in the VINOOS workshop.

For the production of the wine gums and jewelry, we collaborate with parties that work with people who are at a distance from the labor market. Not for financial reasons, but because founder Mireille herself has a son in a wheelchair. As a result, Mireille decided to have her entire packaging, fulfillment and wood production process carried out by people with a physical or mental disability. VINOOS has been proudly working with Houtgenoten and Scalabor for years.

'It’s not about the candy, it’s about the conversation. Wine brings people together.'
