About the Makers
Behind Atelier Nova Jones are Mayken and Pernille. Together they design all the jewelry and Mayken, as a goldsmith, then makes all the beautiful gems. Pernille is ready to help you in the studio. They certainly have a great passion for making jewelry! For years, goldsmithing has been one of their great loves, passed on by their parents (in-law). After years of teaching goldsmithing workshops in the family business, Mayken and Pernille took over in 2019.
Production Process & Sustainability
All jewelry from Atelier Nova Jones is hand-forged in their own workshop in Zwolle. Only good quality gemstones and other materials are used. The gold and silver used is recycled and the design takes into account that you are purchasing a wearable piece of jewelry that you can enjoy for years to come. At Atelier Nova Jones they work with minimal stock, resulting in no waste.
As a customer you always have a say in the design. Do you like a design from the Nova Jones collection, but would you prefer the ring band to be slightly wider or would you rather choose a different gemstone for the design? You are very welcome in the studio to design your dream jewelry together with Mayken and Pernille. This can even be done with your own gold. Because Atelier Nova Jones likes to take the time to discuss and show you the possibilities, you can schedule a no-obligation appointment at the studio.
