Julie & Marie Claire van der Lande
Founders
John Altman is an Amsterdam-based company that makes 100% natural snacks, such as organic popcorn and nut mixes. The brand combines taste with responsibility for people and planet and offers an alternative within the snack world.
About the Makers
John Altman was founded by two sisters, Marie Claire and Julie van der Lande. Their mission is to make the world a little more fun with loving, sustainable snacks. Marie Claire and Julie saw the potential of a loving and sustainable brand with a nod to the serious world around them. With the John Altman brand they wanted to market good, but above all tasty snacks. The company has now been taken over by a new owner, but the vision remains unchanged.
Production Process
John Altman snacks are made from carefully selected, 100% natural ingredients. The popcorn is organic and free of GMOs, allergens, and artificial additives. The nuts and popcorn are packaged in handy grab-and-go packages, so they are easy to eat at home and on the go.
Sustainability
The snacks are not only organic, but the brand is also committed to social projects, such as organizing events for lonely city residents. With the slogan “100% good, not perfect” they continuously strive for improvement in both quality and sustainability.
