About the Maker
Tuvanna is a young Turkish fiber artist who creates unique pieces. Her passion for textiles started in her college years, with hand punch coasters and making wall art with yarn as a hobby. In later years she discovered bigger machines, different techniques. “I was a broke international student, so I even handmade my first frame from scratch with some nails and an empty canvas. I was so excited for a world of my own that I can create with my own colors!”
Seeing her drawings come to life with colorful yarns is what makes Tuvanna happy. That’s why she founded her own art company MadHouse Atelier, selling her products in gift stores around the Netherlands, giving workshops and creating a colorful life for herself. “Welcome to my Mad World.”
Production Process & Sustainability
All products are handmade by Tuvanna in her atelier in Rotterdam. As a base, she uses eco friendly materials such as cotton wool and natural cloths. “Tufting is an art that has low waste production. Producing handmade creations locally also reduces the carbon footprint associated with transportation.”
