About the Maker
Simone Hom always had a love for fashion and decided to follow the Fashion Design course at the Vogue Academy. During her studies, she learned more and more about the downside of the fashion industry and the fast trends. After her education, Simone wanted to express her creativity and therefore started her own brand. “One of the main reasons for starting Mooz was my desire to make clothing in an honest way, at a fair price. That is still scarce. With Mooz I hope to change that and make a difference in the fashion world .”
The Production Process & Sustainabiity
Every item from Mooz label is handmade by Simone, where she keeps production numbers as low as possible. She devises and makes the designs and patterns herself. The designs effortlessly bring together casual-chic and streetwear, where comfort and elegance go hand in hand. Simone purchases the fabrics from wholesalers in the Netherlands. Where possible, she chooses sustainable fabric options, although unfortunately this is not yet possible for every design.
At Mooz the focus is on design and production in the Netherlands, handmade items under fair working conditions, use of high-quality fabrics and limited editions to prevent overproduction.
