Amsterdam is turning 750 years old, and the city will celebrate this milestone in a grand and festive way, starting on October 27th, for an entire year! It’s a fantastic moment for the whole city to showcase what it has to offer. Amsterdam Made is contributing to this celebration too. Our online platform, which is celebrating its 9th anniversary this month, highlights the best of what Amsterdam has to offer in terms of sustainable products made by local creators. To honor the city’s anniversary, we have put together a special, sustainable ‘Amsterdam 750 Years’ collection.
From the hundreds of high-quality products available on our website, we’ve selected twelve attractive and diverse items. These range from the city’s signature cookie, the Eberhardjes, to reusable water bottles from Join The Pipe, local wine from Chateau Amsterdam, and soap shaped like canal houses from Het Amsterdamse Zeephuis. These products can be recognized by the cheerful banner on their packaging, specially designed for Amsterdam’s 750th anniversary by and for the city.
All items in this collection carry the Amsterdam Made Quality Mark, just like the rest of the hundreds of products on our website. This is a quality label for local and sustainable products from the Amsterdam region. With this label, we showcase everything made in our region in an artisanal, circular, social, or creative way and inspire consumers to buy locally.
The unique ‘Amsterdam 750 Years’ collection will be available for a full year. These products are the city’s calling card! Curious about the collection and the stories behind the creators? Click here!
