Aimmea is a women’s fashion brand from Amsterdam. As far as Aimmea is concerned, there are no rules for what you should or should not wear, at any age or at any size. That’s why Aimmea’s designs are ‘age-less’ and made for all fits!
About the Maker
Owner and designer Maria started Aimmea because she could not easily find the right clothes she likes to wear in the city. “I make my clothes available in larger sizes because my sister – in the photo with me in Reguliersbreestraat – is my muse and also likes to wear these clothes in a larger size.”
The Production Process & Sustainability
Quality and sustainability are of great importance to Aimmea. They do not do seasonal collections, but add new designs to existing collections, which are combined with each other. Production takes place in Europe; partly in the Netherlands and partly in Portugal. Predominantly natural substances from Europe are used (circular and environmentally friendly Ecovero – an alternative to viscose).
The clothing from the Netherlands is made by seamstresses who work from home in Haarlem and Tilburg. Production in Portugal takes place in the same way at a smaller family business. Finally, Aimmea uses climate-neutral shipping and environmentally friendly packaging.
