Owner

Inspired by her daughters and little muses Nala & Numi, Annewil Hokken creates a clothing collection for babies & kids under the name Atelier Nuna. Handmade, upcycled and zero-waste. “With Atelier Nuna I hope to contribute a little to a more sustainable and better world for my daughters to grow up in.”

About the maker

Annewil worked as a model for many years and trained as a seamstress. During her first pregnancy she started upcycling her own clothes into baby suits. “During that period I rediscovered my love for sewing and embroidery. With a lot of free time and a pile of clothes that no longer fit me, I got behind the sewing machine to make some baby clothes for my daughter. From denim trousers to shirts, every piece of clothing received a second life.”

Production process & Sustainability

Each piece is unique and made with love in the studio of Atelier Nuna in Amsterdam North. Everything is done by Annewil herself from start to finish. “My mission is to give existing beautiful fabrics a second life by making new items with patchwork. I am always looking for beautiful garments that are no longer worn. What I enjoy most is putting all the fabrics together in my studio and to make combinations from which new items are made.”

Annewil launches a drop with items she has created twice a month. In addition, it is also possible for customers to submit custom-made requests. “Feel free to send me a message!”
