About the Maker
Beet Great is the result of the culinary expertise and passion of ex-chef Rens, who was driven by his fascination for flavor combinations. Inspired by the benefits of beetroot juice for athletes, he created this refreshing mix of beetroot juice and pomegranate juice. “Unfortunately, beet juice has a dusty image and many people do not like it very much. I am trying to change that. The pomegranate juice ensures that the aftertaste is tasty and fresh. I hope that with Beet Great I can offer a healthier variant instead of the standard energy drinks.”
Production Proces & Sustainability
Beet Great is made from local products. Beets that are not eligible for regular sales are processed into juice. The juices are made by Rens himself at a caterer in Utrecht where he occasionally works as a cook. First the juice is mixed, then carbonized, before ultimately being bottled. Rens then pasteurizes the bottles and labels them. All processes and equipment were invented and designed by Rens himself. A real craft soda!
