About the Makers
The Amsterdam Eberhardje is named after Eberhard van der Laan. The former mayor’s assignment to all Amsterdam residents was ‘Take good care of our city and each other’. Together with Holtkamp Horeca Patisserie & Croquetten, Ineke and Résalieke started baking this cookie with a story in 2018. Because Amsterdam’s catering industry embraced the message, the Eberhardje has become an indispensable part of our capital. The net proceeds from the Eberhardjes are used to support and make visible connecting initiatives in Amsterdam. This is done through the ‘Hart voor je stad‘ foundation.
Eberhardjes has its office at Capital C in Amsterdam, on Weesperplein. In collaboration with wonderful entrepreneurs from the city, more and more Eberhardjes are being sold and served. Together with the foundation, these locations help share the story of taking good care of our city and of each other.
Do Good for the City
If you eat or buy Eberhardjes, you are immediately doing something good for the city. Together with you as well as many entrepreneurs, residents and visitors as possible, ‘the cookie of Amsterdam’ will become a success. In this way, Eberhardjes creates a sustainable source of income for the city and together we make Amsterdam more social and liveable.
