Juiciety – Juice + Society – makes fresh juices, with Surinamese roots being the common thread within the company. Originated from frustration and the need to contribute to a healthier Amsterdam South East.
About the maker
Juiciety was founded in 2015 in Amsterdam South East by Cheryl Simson and Bettina Perremuto. They discovered that Amsterdam South East is one of the unhealthiest parts of Amsterdam. Something had to be done about this! In 2018 they opened the first (pop-up) juice bar together in Amsterdam South East. The pay off of the brand is Let’s juice up society! To ‘juice up’ means to bring about a change that makes you feel more alive, energetic and powerful.
In 2020, Bettina decided to go in a different direction, but they still jointly organized the first edition of the Juiciety Festival in Amsterdam South East. The concept then changed from B2C to B2B, with Cheryl and her father working with various regular customers in Amsterdam.
The production process & sustainabilityJuiciety not only supports the health and well-being of the local community, but also celebrates the rich culinary traditions of Surinamese cuisine. The range consists of 11 delicious juices with a mix of fruit and Surinamese/Caribbean vegetables high in nutritional value – for example bitter sopropo, tayer leaf and amsoi. No additional additives such as sugar, colorings, fragrances and E numbers are used. The juices are produced in Zaandam and are available at various locations in Amsterdam.
Juiciety x NaturebarJuiciety and soap brand Nature Bar have joined forces. The result; a delicious soap bar with the pulp of Lovebomb juice incorporated into it. By reusing the pulp waste from the Lovebomb juice, ‘waste’ takes on a new meaning!
