At MIRK Fair Fashion you will find sustainable slow fashion with a good backstory. Handmade quality garments from our own studio that you will enjoy wearing for past just one season.

About the maker
Due to her history in the theater world, Mirjam Pater had a lot of material left that she wanted to reuse. This resulted in a store with a homemade clothing collection made from those materials, under the name MIRK. The intimate boutique can be found in the Hardebollenstraat in Utrecht. Mirjam makes all items herself, by hand, on one sewing machine. All items can also be custom made. MIRK is therefore a wonderful example of a real slow-fashion label.

Productionprocess
Mirjam’s studio is in the store and is therefore completely transparent. Mirjam makes everything herself. There is a small size series on the racks. If your size is not listed, she can tailor the design for you which is done within a week. An existing design can also be customized for you.

Sustainability
All fabrics for the MIRK collection have been consciously chosen and are as sustainable as possible. Not only used theater costumes are re-used, but also items such as blankets, sleeping bags and remnants of opera productions. Mirjam wastes as little fabric as possible in her designs and because she produces in small size series and makes the rest custom-made, there is no overproduction.
