About the Makers
SMPL was originally a creation by founders Willemijn Kornelis and Liselotte Wannijn. Now acquired in SMPL by Evi van Splunder, who also has a great passion for natural skin care. “I struggled for years with hormone fluctuations, eczema and sensitive skin, which led me to delve into the effects of hormone disrupting substances and irritating ingredients in care products. The Production Process & Sustainability
SMPL products are produced in two laboratories in the Netherlands. One in Amsterdam and one in Brabant. These laboratories are known for their traditional production methods. Only ingredients of natural origin are chosen; vegan, biodegradable and free of microplastics.
In addition, SMPL opts for sustainable packaging – bio-based tubes made from sugar cane, bottles made of glass and recycled plastic and recyclable boxes – and reduces their CO2 footprint by having the packages delivered by bicycle as much as possible.
