Wild Child Cacao makes 100% pure cocoa with cocoa beans from the Dominican Republic. All chocolate is cracked from the bean itself and made in Amsterdam.

About the Makers
Wild Child Cacao was founded in Amsterdam, by Malou and Eva. Both came in contact with 100% cocoa for the first time – separately – in Costa Rica. Driven by curiosity, they delved into the world of cocoa and gained a lot of knowledge. When the women met each other in the Netherlands, they clicked immediately. After a shared cup of cocoa, Wild Child Cacao was born. Malou is the artisanal chocolate maker of the two. Eva’s passion is to share cocoa with the world in her cocoa training, during cocoa ceremonies and also online and with the neighbor.

The Production Process & Sustainability
Every bean that goes into your cup flows through Malou’s hands and is hand-cracked in a traditional metate from Mexico. They are then (stone) ground for 24 hours and the process is completed. This all happens in their own Wild Child Cacao Café and shop!

Malou and Eva’s favorite cocoa comes from the Dominican Republic. More specifically; from the organic farmers’ cooperation called Öko-Caribe. The cooperation is known for their high quality cocoa and the farmers are very well supported. The farmers receive four times the market price of cocoa, allowing them to earn a sustainable income for themselves and their families.

You are more than welcome in Amsterdam North (Chrysantenstraat 14) to taste all the chocolate creations and see how the cocoa is made from the bean. Workshops are also given here and you can purchase cocoa.
