About the Maker
Andrea is the soul and spirit behind Wonder Wick. Her journey to founding this company in 2023 was born out of a deeply personal experience and enlightening path towards healing. Inspired by the transformative impact of her practices, Andrea created Wonder Wick to offer products focused on enhancing well-being through essential oils, encouraging a lifestyle of mindfulness and self-care for others navigating their busy lives.

Production Process & Sustainability
All essential oils used for the candles are blended by Andrea herself, instead of buying pre-made blends from suppliers. “My process starts with creating and testing each blend, which can take several weeks. The candle-making process is also entirely my own; I hand-pour all candles in small batches in my studio in Amsterdam, where I personally label them, pack them, and store them for sales.”

Wonder Wick emphasizes sustainability by using rapeseed and coconut wax for candle production. The rapeseed is sourced from Europe, while the coconut is obtained from small farmers in Indonesia and the Philippines, with each supplier adhering to stringent sustainability practices. All candles are provided in reusable glass jars topped with bamboo lids.

In line with sustainable practices, 90% of the packaging is crafted from paper. Wonder Wick also offers candle refills, allowing the glass jars to be reused, which helps minimize waste. Additionally, tea light refills are available, packaged in cardboard boxes and complemented by reusable glass cups, sold in packs of four. This system encourages continuous reuse of the glass cups, supporting efforts to reduce environmental impact.
